Secaucus Halloween festivities
The Ragamuffin Parade will be held on Halloween. Lineup starts at Secaucus High School parking lot at 12:30 p.m. Face masks and social distancing required.
Trunk-or-Treat will take place on Halloween at Mill Creek Point Park from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Cars must be registered at secaucusnj.gov/Halloween.
Jersey City’s ballot
Voters will decide the next Ward D councilperson, three school board trustees, and the future of arts funding.
Ward D candidates are Patrick Ambrossi, Cynthia Hadjiyannis, Lenny Lambert, current Ward D Councilman Yousef Saleh, and Rafael Torres.
The Education Matters school board slate is Lorenzo Richardson, Gina Verdibello, and Lekendrick Shaw. The Change for Children slate is Sonia Cintron, Asheenia Johnson, and Karen Poliski.
The question of whether or not to establish an Arts and Culture Trust is on the ballot.

Ballots must be placed in the drop off box by 8 p.m., Nov. 3.
USPS ballots must be postmarked on or before Nov. 3 and received by the county’s board of elections on or before Nov. 10.

Ballots can be submitted at the Board of Elections Office, 257 Cornelison Ave., Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by 8 p.m., Nov. 3.

HBA offers prizes
The Hoboken Business Alliance (HBA) has launched its Shop and Dine Passport Programs, running through Nov. 6, featuring weekend Sidewalk Sales and a two-week Food Crawl.
Customers collect stamps in their Passports with each visit to any of 75 participating Hoboken restaurants and retailers. Once five or more stamps are earned, customers will have the chance to win $4,000 in gift card prizes to the participating business of their choice.

North Bergen Tax Collector’s Office extends hours
On Nov. 10. the office at 4233 Kennedy Blvd. will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the payment of property taxes.
SWAT is called to Hoboken home
A Hoboken man, 41, has been charged with child endangerment after authoriries were called to a house in the 700 block of Garden Street on Oct. 16, according to the HPD.
SWAT removed a 5-year-old boy who appeared to be physically unharmed. He is in the custody of this mother.
