MARY E. DANIEL

Funeral services have been held for Mary E. Daniel of Jersey City. She passed away Oct. 29 at home, surrounded by her family. Born to the late Andrew Daniel and Martha Lewis. Mary was educated in the Jersey City Public School System and was employed for 35 years at the Hudson View Care and Rehabilitation Center until her retirement in 2017, where she was recognized for her outstanding hard work, loyalty, and dedication. Ms. Daniel was affiliated with the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed all kinds of music and would sing and dance with her children. Mary is preceded in death by her sister, Etta May Lewis, brothers Robert and Herbert Lewis, and Samuel and James Daniel; Nephew Anthony V. Daniel and Louis Edward Jones and her Earth Angel, granddaughter Kayla Daniel. Mary E. Daniel leaves to cherish her legacy, her two daughters, Donna and Cassandra Daniel; grandchildren, Kenneth Paris, Tyler and Justin; sister, Carolyn Daniel; aunt, Betty Coleman; her dogs, Cody and Jack; and other relatives and friends.
