Hoboken will launch a Virtual Winter Concert Series premiering Dec. 5 and continuing every Saturday this month to help residents celebrate the holiday season.

The virtual series will replace in-person events run by Hoboken’s Office of Cultural Affairs, which have been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony, which will be moved to an all-virtual event this year at a date still to be determined.

“Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working hard to keep our annual traditions alive, virtually this year to protect everyone’s safety,” said Mayor Ravi Bhalla. “Thank you to our Cultural Affairs Department for helping ensure our children and families have some holiday cheer we can enjoy from home.”

The virtual events include Family Fun Night, a Sinatra Tribute Concert, Holiday Banding Concert, and The Eagles Engagement with all performances to be broadcast on the City of Hoboken Facebook and Instagram pages.
