The Hoboken Food Pantry will host its first Holiday Market this Saturday, Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1301 Washington St.
A variety of nonfood items, including toys, toiletries, and beauty products, among other things, will be available for free.
People can pick items at the market as gifts to help alleviate the financial burden of the holidays.
Today, Dec. 11, is the last day to donate new toys to the pantry for those in need to pick at the Holiday Market.
Donations can be dropped off or shipped directly to the pantry.
At the Holiday Market, masks are required, and social distancing will be practiced.
This event is in addition to the pantry’s biweekly food distributions.
Each month the Hoboken Food Pantry orders 3,000 to 4,000 pounds of food.
From its opening on March 24 until June 1, more than 4,400 Hoboken residents received emergency food assistance delivered to their homes.
Since June, the pantry typically serves between 800 and 1,000 households each month.
