DeGise quarantined
Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise is now under quarantine after his Chief of Staff Craig Guy tested positive for COVID-19.
DeGise tested negative and awaits additional results.
Guy and the rest of the staff are being tested, quarantining, and working remotely.
Another Hoboken death
A man, 60, died from COVID-19, bringing the city’s total deaths to 33.
“When getting a COVID-19 test after a possible exposure, wait at least five to seven days from the exposure date to get a test,” said Mayor Ravi Bhalla.

Man charged in alleged ‘ticket switch fraud’
On Dec. 11, law enforcement charged Jersey City resident Jorge Ortega, 41, a New Jersey Parole Officer, with Theft by Deception.
According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, Ortega allegedly changed the labels on higher value items for lower value items at a Target on Tonnelle Ave. in North Bergen.
Ortega is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
North Bergen offers free three-hour parking
North Bergen will offer free three-hour parking at all meters through Jan. 1. Metered enforcement will resume on Jan. 2.

Guttenberg suspends meter parking until 2021
Meter enforcement will be suspended until January 2. Alternate side (sweeper) parking and residential parking enforcement remain in effect.
