MARIA DOLORES FIGUEROA

A funeral mass was offered Dec. 23 at Assumption/All Saints Church, Jersey City, for Maria Dolores Figueroa, 82, of Jersey City. She passed away peacefully on Dec. 17 at her home in Jersey City, surrounded by her family. Maria was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico. She worked as a custodian for Arvey’s Corporation. She worked as a lunch aide for Sister Pilar Day Care Center, Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, and P.S. 22. She was an active member for Assumption/All Saints Church and the Sacred Heart Club. She taught catechism classes, she would bring communion to the elderly and sick to their homes. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers/plants that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Maria was the sister of Carmen, Ramona, and Miguel Quiles. She was the mother of five sons and four daughter-in-laws, Angel & Yolanda, Eddie & Dorothea, Rene & Edna, Edwin & Lisa, John; and four daughters and three son-in-laws, Lourdes Rosado & Tony, Myrtha Magliulo & George, Sylvia Figueroa-Feliciano & Alberto Luis and Nancy. Maria was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Services arranged by the Michalski Funeral Home, Jersey City.
