JOSEPHINE CEMELLI

A funeral mass took place Jan. 16 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church for Josephine Cemelli, 96, a lifelong Hoboken resident. She passed away Jan. 12. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Marilyn and her son Gary and his wife Rose, and her granddaughter Christine and her husband Brett. She was predeceased by her husband Salvatore (2008). Josephine was born in Hoboken to Carmella (nee Russo) and Tindaro Cappadona. She worked as a seamstress in Hoboken’s Garment district. During the pandemic Josephine made masks to aid frontline workers. Her warm smile and everlasting love for her family will always be remembered. Services arranged by the Failla McKnight Memorial Home, Hoboken.
