ANTHONY BARTOLONE

A funeral mass took place Jan. 30 at St. Paul of the Cross Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City for Anthony Bartolone, 87, of Jersey City. He passed away Jan. 26. He was born in Italian occupied Tripoli, Libya on December 18, 1933, and later grew up in Sicily, Italy. He was a Corrections Officer in Italy before emigrating, with his wife and children, to the US in 1974. In the US, he worked for Best Foods/Unilever Corporation until his retirement in 1998. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francesco and Gaetana Bartolone, brothers Carmelo Francesco, Caloggero, Salvatore and Umberto Bartolone, and his wife of 61 years, Filomena Bartolone (nee) Bonomo. He is survived by his sisters, Maria Bartolone and Pasqualina Siciliano, his children Frank Bartolone and wife Roseann, Susan Bartolone, Marcella Lampone and husband Andrew and Marco Bartolone. Along with 5 grandchildren he adored, Stephanie Drugos and husband Steven, Christian Bartolone and wife Kristen, Thomas Bartolone and partner Brittany Cabrera, Luca and Claudio Lampone, and two great-grandchildren, Savannah Drugos and Jack Bartolone.
