A memorial service will be held at a later date for Salim J. Barsa, Jr. He passed away Sunday, Feb. 7 at University Hospital in Hoboken due to complications from the coronavirus. Sam was a lifelong resident of Weehawken, still residing in the family home. He loved his hometown and working at the Weehawken Public Library. He was a 1956 graduate of Weehawken High School and the Academy of Traffic Management in NYC. Sam will be greatly missed by his family and his many lifelong friends. He had a great wit and was voted “class clown.” Sam was predeceased by his parents, Salim, Sr. and Wadia Barsa. He is survived by his  sisters, Gloria Stephan and Carol Kawash (David) along with his brothers Joseph (Arline), Raymond (Diane) and Albert (Edith) and all his  nieces and nephews and his companion, Carole Paganica.
