On Friday, March 5 at 10 a.m. Hoboken’s Little City Books will host Jersey City resident Cat Min, who will read and discuss her new picture book Shy Willow, an illustrated story about shyness, the power of empathy, and what it means to make a friend.
The book is published by Levine Querido, an award-winning children’s book publisher that has recently moved to Hoboken.
Min is an illustrator, animator, and writer who grew up in Hong Kong, where she spent most of her childhood drawing and making comic books out of printer paper and staples with her best friend.
She studied animation and film at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts, and completed the Illustration & Visual Storytelling Summer Residency Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
