The employee reported that he was engaged in a verbal dispute with a customer when the customer allegedly started to take merchandise off the shelves.

As the customer, identified as Hoboken resident Kyeise Lopez, 22, made his way out of the store without allegedly paying for the merchandise, he allegedly punched the employee in the face and allegedly pushed a second employee to the ground.

With the assistance of Detective Christine Collins, Lopez was located in the area of Fifth and Marshall streets and placed under arrest.

Lopez was charged with Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Harassment, and Criminal Mischief.

All charges were placed on a warrant, and Lopez was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Center.

Lopez is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
