STERLING BELL, JR.

A memorial service will be held in August 2021 for Sterling Bell, Jr., 85, of Jersey City. He passed away on Feb. 15. Born in Littleton, NC to the late Sterling, Sr. & Mary Bell, he relocated to Jersey City where he attended Snyder High School. In 1953 he was employed at One Source where he became Assistant Manager and remained for fifty years before joining ISS Building Services where he retired as Maintenance Supervisor in 2018. He met and married Annis Bell and they raised four children: Charnette and the late Andrew, Diane, and Mary Bell. He was predeceased by a grandson, Andrew Wright, Jr. He later married Jean Bell and resided in Jersey City. He is survived by his wife, Jean, daughter Charnette, brother, George Belle (Laurens, SC), a stepdaughter, Toni Michelle Josko (Georgia) nine grandchildren: Cory, Kevin, Maurice, Adonis, Tonya, William, Elijah, Leah, 28 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
