Hoboken will offer door-to-door distribution of the Johnson & Johnson COVID 19 vaccine to homebound residents, according to a press release from the city.
In anticipation of a potential supply from the state, Mayor Ravi Bhalla encouraged any homebound Hoboken resident, or family member, or friend of the individual to pre-register to receive a vaccine on Hoboken’s registration page.
To pre-register a homebound resident, visit hobokennj.gov/vaccinesignup and select the new designation “homebound.”
Homebound residents or their family or friends may also pre-register by calling the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) hotline at 201-420-5621, and leaving a message with the homebound resident’s first name, last name, address, age, contact phone number and email, if available.
The message should also indicate that the pre-registration is for a homebound resident.
If a homebound resident or their representative previously pre-registered with the City of Hoboken, they are asked to do so again with the new “homebound” designation to allow the Hoboken Health Department to create a targeted list for door-to-door vaccinations.
The homebound designation must only be utilized for individuals who are physically unable to leave the home.
