A Mass of Christian Burial was offered March 27 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church for Gloria E. Maldonado, 80. She passed away at her daughter’s home with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, March 24. Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, Gloria settled in Hoboken in 1957 where she was a graduate of Demarest High School. In 1981 she moved to Jersey City where she raised her family while working at Levelor Blind Company in Hoboken and later as a cook at Hamilton Park Health Care Center where she retired in 2002. Gloria was a former resident of 3060 Kennedy Boulevard where she had many good friends. She is survived by her three loving children Maria Rolon (Rey), Alberto Soto (Iris Garrido) and Edward Soto; her beloved grandchildren Juan Carlos Rolon, Christopher Rolon and Madelyn Soto; cherished great grandson Jason Rolon and her siblings Juan Maldonado, Nilsa Felix, Jose “Che” Rivera, Condido Rivera and Jose Colon.
