The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested a Jersey City man on April 10 for allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl multiple times.
According to the HCPO, officers arrested Deivis Feliz Rivera, 37, on April 10, at approximately 1:05 p.m., on charges involving multiple sexual crimes against a young girl who was between the ages of 11 and 15 at the time.
The victim was in his care when the crimes occurred.
On April 9, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit were notified by the Jersey City Police Department about the alleged crimes.
Feliz Rivera was arrested in Paterson without incident following an investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
Feliz Rivera has been charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault, a first-degree crime; Sexual Assault by Contact, a second-degree crime; Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a second-degree crime; and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, a third-degree crime.
After his arrest, Feliz Rivera was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Center in Kearny pending his first court appearance.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Paterson Police Department with the arrest.
The above charges are merely accusations. Feliz Rivera is presumed innocent until proven guilty
