The Jersey City Anti-Violence Coalition Movement will host a Police Reform Rally on Saturday, April 24, at 11 a.m., at Jersey City City Hall.
The organization held protests every Tuesday for 16 weeks last summer after the murder of George Floyd at the hands of Officer Derek Chauvin, who was found guilty on all counts on April 20.
“In this case, the officer was held accountable but there are too many cases where officers go unpunished,” states the rally announcement. “These cases happen in Jersey City as well and we must continue the fight for police oversight and accountability.”
Jersey City City Hall is at 280 Grove St.
