Hoboken High School invited to International Thespian Festival

Hoboken High School is one of 13 schools invited to perform on the main stage at the nation’s leading high school theatre festival the International Thespian Festival (ITF) which begins June 22  in an all-virtual format.

Produced by the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), the festival celebrates student achievement in the performing arts.

The invitation is a huge honor: High-caliber productions from across the country are screened each year, and only the best are invited to the main stage.

This year’s ITF lineup reflects the pandemic’s impact on school theater with several of the shows created for virtual performances. The lineup features 10 plays and three musicals.

Hoboken High School will be represented by Troupe 7268 performing She Kills Monsters Virtual Realms by  Qui Nguyen and directed by Danielle Miller.

At ITF, drama students and their teachers can participate in more than 40 workshops, interact with over 60 colleges in a unified college fair and audition process, and meet with industry leaders and Broadway professionals.
