Funeral services were held May 5 for Frank M. Kimmish, 63, of Jersey City. He passed away peacefully at his residence on April 30. Born in Jersey City, Frank was a lifelong resident. Frank was the son of the late Frank & Florence Kimmish (Jozowski). Frank graduated from Saint Peter’s Prep in 1975, then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Saint Peter’s College in 1979, his master’s of art degree from Jersey City State College in 1981, and his professional diploma in 1993. For the past 15 years, Frank worked as a guidance counselor and school psychologist for the Passaic Board of Education. Prior to that, he worked at the Jersey City Medical Center as a clinical psychologist and was a proud member of the NJEA. Frank is survived by his siblings, Deborah Kaliades, Steven Kimmish (Betsy), Karen Acheson, Felicia Pietruszka (David), Michael Kimmish, and Peter Kimmish (Cameron). He is also survived by his many beloved nieces and one nephew, a great niece, and a great nephew. Frank will always be remembered as a kind, loving brother, and uncle. He served this community with respect, honor, and integrity helping guide so many lives through their inner conflict. Frank was a gentle soul and a great listener. He will be dearly missed by all.
