Walk-in vaccination clinic coming to Union City on Saturday

Get vaccinated with either the Johnson & Johnson or Moderna vaccine

Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise, along with Hudson Regional Health Commission, are partnering with Union City and Mayor Brian Stack to bring a walk-in vaccination clinic to Bergenline Avenue this Saturday, May 22.

The clinic will be set up between 31st and 32nd Streets between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccine are options.

“Since becoming more readily available, Hudson County has worked closely with our municipal partners to ensure this lifesaving vaccine is easily accessible to all of our residents,” said DeGise. “Whether that means setting up vaccination clinics in our county parks or arranging vaccination opportunities with local community groups, we are going to continue our efforts to get Hudson vaccinated by any means possible. I thank Mayor Stack for his partnership and remind everyone to trust the science and do their part to put an end to this pandemic.”

The clinic will be set up in the street. Drivers should take an alternate route. The county will have both English and Spanish speaking representatives onsite.

“This Saturday we are bringing the COVID-19 vaccine to the most heavily foot traveled section of our City to conveniently get as many residents vaccinated as possible,” said Stack. “This vaccine is free and safe for everyone, regardless if you are undocumented or without insurance. My office is available to address the concerns of any residents and myself, along with our Commissioners, thank Hudson County for helping spearhead this effort.”

The county continues to operate its drive thru vaccination clinic at the Hudson County Vaccine Distribution Center in Kearny, at the USS Juneau Center at 110 Hackensack Ave. The center is operated by the Hudson Regional Health Commission and overseen by County Executive Tom DeGise’s Vaccine Task Force, which includes representatives from the Hudson County Improvement Authority, the Hudson County Office of Emergency Management, County Department of Roads and Public Property, the Hudson County Schools of Technology, and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone who lives, works or studies in Hudson County and is over the age of 12 schedule an appointment at hudsoncovidvax.org.
