Hollander Room dedicated
The Hollander Room at the Joyce Herbert VFW Post 226 was dedicated to Dr. Milton B. Hollander (1928-2017), an Army veteran, executive, and supporter of education, with a lifelong devotion to American manufacturing and the U.S. Military. He was proud of his Bayonne roots and of graduating from the technical division of Bayonne High School.
The Dedication was chaired by former Superintendent of Schools Dr. Patricia McGeehan and Theodore Garelick, a former Bayonne Medical Center vice-president, former Planning Board chair and former Board of Education trustee.
Speakers at the May 16 event were Mayor James Davis, former Bayonne physician and veteran LTC John Smith, Congressman Albio Sires, Post 226 Commander and Founder Glen Flora, and Dr. Hollander’s son Aaron Hollander.
