Jersey City kids bike ride announced
The city’s annual bike ride will be on June 12, featuring giveaways like helmets, bells, coloring books, crayons, and a scavenger hunt, to encourage use of the protected bike lanes. For more information go to jcnj.org/kidsride.
Register for North Bergen summer school
Registration for summer school, June 30 to Aug. 3., will be at North Bergen High School, June 25, 2 to 4 p.m.; June 26, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; and June 28, 2 to 4 p.m.
School will be closed July 5 and on Fridays in July and August with the exception of July 9.
Residents pay on a sliding scale ($100, $75, or $50). Must provide recent proof of residency, or out-of-district tuition will be required. Payment must be cash or money order.

Jersey City shooting
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and Jersey City Police Department are investigating a May 21 shooting in the area of Crescent Avenue and Brinkerhoff Street that left two dead and four injured.

Jersey City man pleads guilty to possession of firearm
Convicted felon Hassan Mosby, 40, of Jersey City, admitted to illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition in connection with a 2019 Jersey City shooting, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael Honig.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 30.
