Residents invited to Hoboken Pride Flag raising

In celebration of World Pride Month, Hoboken will host a Pride Flag raising ceremony at city hall on Saturday June 5 at 12:30 p.m.

The city will also repaint four crosswalks with Pride colors, at Newark Street and Washington Street, with volunteers welcome.

For details and to volunteer for the crosswalk repainting, email Migdalia Pagan-Milano at mmilano@hobokennj.gov.

“Hoboken is once again proudly raising the Pride Flag in recognition of World Pride Month,” said Mayor Ravi Bhalla. “I invite residents to join us on Saturday, as we stand with our LGBTQ+ community and celebrate Hoboken’s diversity, and repaint our crosswalks with the colors of the Pride Flag.”

In December of 2020,  Hoboken received a perfect 100% rating from the Human Right’s Campaign’s (HRC) Municipal Equality Index (MEI), an annual examination of policies relating to LGBTQ+ laws in over 500 municipalities across the country.
