Movies Under the Stars and Concerts in the Park return to Hoboken


Hoboken revealed the final schedule of the free Movies Under the Stars and Concerts in the Park this summer for residents and visitors.

“I’m thrilled to invite residents to our popular Movies Under the Stars and Concerts in the Park,” said Mayor Ravi Bhalla. “After a difficult year, we are glad these community-favorite events are returning for everyone to enjoy. Come on out and enjoy the fun in our parks this summer!”

Movies Under the Stars will take place at 9 p.m. in June and July and 8 or 8:30 p.m. in August.

Movies were selected by residents through an online survey.

June 16, Mama Mia, Pier A Park, every Wednesday until Aug. 18 with the exception of July 28 and Aug. 4 when the program will move to Seventh and Jackson Park for a screening of The Lion King and Onward.

Concerts will take place throughout the summer in Sinatra Park, the Southwest Resiliency Park, and Shipyard Park at 13th and Bernard McFeeley Shipyard Lane.

Performances typically begin at 6 p.m. Acts include Julio Fernandez and Friends, The Fuzzy Lemons, Zydeco Revelators, and more.

In case of inclement weather, concerts and movies may be rescheduled or cancelled.
