NJ Transit funds local transportation
NJ Transit has earmarked $49.7 million in federal and state funds for local transportation programs, providing services for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, the economically disadvantaged, and rural residents.
NJ Transit partners with all 21 counties to assist nonprofit organizations, counties, municipalities, and county improvement authorities.
Hoboken budget sees tax reduction
The city council recently passed the municipal budget amendment with a reduction in taxes of 2.8 percent. The city will “maintain important projects, including water main upgrades, funding for parks, and improvements to critical infrastructure,” said Mayor Ravi Bhalla.

North Bergen Police Officer Bryan Suarez has been certified as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).
A DRE detects individuals under the influence of drugs, and the category of drug causing the impairment.
