Willliam (Bill) Naschak, 80, of Shelby Township, MI, passed away with family at his side July 1. He was born in Jersey City on June 16, 1941. Bill was raised in Bayonne, where he played baseball, was in the high school marching band and was elected to Boys State. He held numerous jobs in his childhood including Lifeguard, Camp Counselor, and Program Director of the YMCA to which he was truly dedicated. He was always helping and leading others. He attended Rutgers University. Bill spent 35 years working for General Motors. His GM career started on the assembly line in Linden, New Jersey and concluded as an Engineering Manager at the General Motors Tech Center in  Warren, Michigan. He was always committed to helping and mentoring others along the way. Bill was an avid dog lover.  His many interests throughout his life included: playing the saxophone, bass guitar,  and being part of a band in the late 70’s and 80’s, boating, taking photos, swimming, and especially watching his grandchildren play music and sports. Spending time with family was his greatest joy. He was an intelligent, loving, kind, funny and warm- hearted man that treasured family. He will be missed deeply by everyone that knew him. Beloved husband of  Delores Naschak (Cantalini) for forty years. Loving father to William Naschak (Ranee), Greg Naschak, Hildi Ahee, Kathryn Underwood (Scott) and Michael Basone (Jacqueline).  Proud and loving Grandfather (Papa) to Gedde Naschak, Alec Ahee, Garrett Naschak, Nathaniel Naschak, Jonah Ahee, Joshua Naschak, Ian Spratt, Olivia Underwood, and Michael Underwood.  Dear brother to Judy Kawalek (Hal) and twin sister Mary Jane (Ron) Kominkiewicz. Predeceased by his parents Raymond John Naschak and Mary Elizabeth Robey.
