Remembering Tim and Bridget
Bayonne residents Tim and Bridget O’Donnell, who were killed in a car crash on the NJ Turnpike in 2016, were remembered in the annual Pike’s Peak Ascent and Marathon in Colorado Springs on Aug. 21.
Erin Everson of St. Louis ran the ascent with the names of Tim and Bridget on her back. Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 invited the O’Donnell family to the event, along with 14 other families whose loved ones died in preventable car crashes.
Pay taxes at City Hall
Taxes can be paid by check at the drop box inside the front doors of City Hall, in person with cash via a police escort into the tax collector’s office, or online. For more information, go to bayonnenj.org.
Tricky Tray
The Hudson County Animal League will have a Welcome Back Tray on Sept. 11 from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church Community Hall, 290 Avenue E and 23rd Street
Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Masks are required.

Skate Camp
A six-week (Sept. 18 to Oct. 23) Fall Skateboarding Camp for Bayonne residents will be held on Saturdays in September and October: 9 to 10 a.m., 10:15 to 11:15 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the 1st Street Skate Park.
The fee is $50 per participant per session. Register at City Hall, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Henri glosses over Bayonne
The Office of Emergency Management reported that Hurricane Henri caused light flooding on Hook Road and Park Road around Veterans Stadium, which led to a weekend road closure. A small sinkhole opened up on Sunset Avenue.
