The Bridge Art Gallery’s annual Bridge Arts Festival will take place on Sept. 11 at Dennis Collins Park near 1st Street, from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., organized by Cheryl and Christopher Mack.
Activities and events will include art, music, and dance, an artist vendor market, free kids craft corner, and a food truck row.
Though the event is free, VIP Lounge access includes an open bar, free food, artist meet and greet, and a festival ‘swag bag’ for $40 per person.
The festival is sponsored by the Bridge Art Gallery, the City of Bayonne, Hudson County, RWJBarnabas, PSE&G, Lightbridge Academy, BCB Bank, Crafty Fox Studio, and Destination Jazz.
Music will be performed by Conundrum, MV Caldera, and Gina D’Soto.
Conundrum includes Trumpeter Germain Brito, Guitar player Isaac Sanchez, and Drummer Charles Tyler.
MV Caldera is a Latin Grammy-nominated artist, Venezuelan songwriter, musician, and producer.
Gina D’ Soto, 22, is a Cuban singer-songwriter, composer, and arranger.
Dance and theater guests
Musical theater, dance, and other guests include Nadiya Dance School, Kaisokah Moko Jumbies U.S.A, Inc., and Telow MowZus Baugh.
The Nadiya’s dance school offers classic choreography and modern and folk dances from various nations.
Kaisokah Moko Jumbies U.S.A inc. is a 15-member stilt dancing group, ages 4 to 25 from Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Jamaica, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.
Telow MowZus Baugh is a poet and spoken word artist.
