Talk About Inappropriate!

typewriter

Dear Editor:

I was stunned to see that you chose to publish Erik-Anders Nilsson’s letter in your 8/26 edition. If a letter as chock full of misinformation, innuendo and lies as this one is not considered too inappropriate to run, I wonder what you would consider too much.

Maybe some of what he wrote could be thought of as political differences, but leaving aside that public health should not be politicized, the claim that Hydroxychloriquine and Ivermectin are safe and effective FDA approved treatments for COVID is not only totally false, it is dangerously false.

People are dying from overdoses of medicines meant for farm animals as a result of this propaganda, and people who need these drugs for what they are actually prescribed for, are having a hard time getting them due to a run on them by the misinformed. At the very least, some sort of fact check should have followed his letter.
