A funeral mass was celebrated at Saint Paul the Apostle Church for Paul William Silletti, 79, of Jersey City. He passed away Aug. 17 in Simi Valley, CA after a long illness. He was born in Margaret Hague Hospital in Jersey City, a son of the late William and Florence (Parisian) Silletti. He was self-employed as a mechanic for many years at P&T Performance on Seaview Ave. in Jersey City, until his retirement in 2000. He then re-settled in Simi Valley, CA. During his time in California, he enjoyed many road trips which included following Route 66 and other food journeys with his fiance Sherrie Medeiros. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, dart champion, race car driver, boxer, and food enthusiast which included cooking, planning and visiting food tasting road trips. He is survived by his fiance, Sherrie Medeiros of Simi Valley, CA; his four children, Angela Silletti-Cayer (husband Armand) of Wantage, Tina Spagnuolo (husband Anthony) of Avenel, Paul Silletti of Avenel and Gina Scardigno (husband Corrado) of Avenel; 10 grandchildren Angelina, Paolo, Christopher, Giovanni, Giuseppe, Vincenzo, Loren, Domenico, Giulianna, and Karleigh; former spouse and mother of his children Amelia Silletti of Avenel; siblings, Paula Silletti and her husband William of Simi Valley, CA, Barbara DiPrimo of Simi Valley, CA, and Thomas Silletti and his wife Alison of Brick; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister Tina Silletti and one son Paul Silletti.
