Former Hoboken City Council candidate moves on up
Former Hoboken City Council At-Large candidate Dini Ajmani is joining the U.S. Treasury Department as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Capital Markets. She was previously the Assistant State Treasurer at the NJ Treasury Department.
Pro Arts Jersey City offers two new exhibits
Pro Arts Jersey City announced two new exhibits at the ART150 Gallery, Reversed Engineered at the 1st Street entrance and Off the Wall at 1st and Provost. Both will run through the end of October, on the 30th and 31st respectively.
Meet North Bergen’s newest police officer
Police Officer Ondrea Borell-Lugo was recently sworn in, making her the 19th female police officer in the department. Numerous police officers and township officials were on hand. She will attend the Passaic Police Academy for six months.
Waterfront Arts Gala returns to Hoboken
The Waterfronts Arts Gala will return to Hoboken Oct. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the 12th Street Pier on Sinatra Drive North. Galleries and artists will showcase their work.
Tickets are $65 and can be purchased at www.hobokennj.gov/register. Attendees must show proof of vaccination.

Flu Vaccines will be available at nine locations throughout the township in October. Dates are:

- Oct. 19, 2 to 4 p.m. North Bergen Library, 8411 Bergenline Ave.
- Oct. 28, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. 1441 45th St.
- Oct. 28, 1 to 3 p.m., North Bergen Housing Authority, 6299 Grand Ave.
