Halloween Costume Contest

The Annual Halloween Costume Contest will be on Oct. 30 at 4 p.m., 16th Street Park, lower level amphitheater, weather permitting.

No more special storm pickups

There will be no more special garbage pickups for items damaged by Hurricane Ida. Regular bulk pickups will be on the second and third Saturdays of each month. Call 201-858-6123.

Man charged with hit-and-run offense

Magdy Botros, 51, of Bayonne has been arrested for an alleged hit-and-run incident on March 24 that left a woman with life-threatening injuries.

On Oct. 7 at approximately 11 a.m., members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Regional Collision Investigation Unit arrested him leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision.
