Many families got costumes for their kids through North Bergen's Halloween costume giveaway on Oct. 14.

North Bergen Halloween party for kids

Children ages infant through 9 years old are invited to North Bergen’s Children’s Halloween Party from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31. The event will be held in the North Bergen Recreation Center parking lot at 6300 Meadowview Ave.
Social distancing and masks are required.

WNY holds Wiffle Ball Fundraiser

West New York’s annual Wiffle Ball Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness will be held on Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. at Miller Park, 5808 Jackson Street.

Register individually or as a team by calling the 201-295-5270. A $20 donation is required.

There will also be a Clothing & Shoe Drive Fundraiser that day. Bring items in tightly-tied bags.

Union City offers free flu shots 

Shots will be administered Oct. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Washington School, 3905 New York Ave. Bring insurance cards if you have insurance.

The Jersey City Police Officers Benevolent Association has endorsed Mayor Steve Fulop for reelection this year. They also endorsed Gov. Phil Murphy for reelection as well.

Jersey City Theatre Center showcases new mural arts program

Jersey City Theater Center is hosting a gallery art exhibition opening and short documentary film screening of “Sister Cities: Discovering Common Threads” featuring the work of 2021 Jersey City Summer Youth Mural Arts Program participants.
