Dear Editor:
Whoopi Goldberg made a complete fool of herself when she ignorantly stated that the Holocaust was not about race. Truth is, The Holocaust was all about race. “Mein Kampf” makes this perfectly clear. Indeed, the Holocaust remains an infamous testimony to man’s inhumanity and brutality towards fellow human beings. However, the basis of that inhumanity and brutality is the national socialist core belief that the Aryan people – the German race – is the master race (The “Herrenmenschen”).
National socialism defined and determined race by hereditary characteristics and traits, and not on the pigmentation of skin tone alone. The national socialists considered the Jews to be a different race. Moreover, the Slavs, Romani, and Jews were defined as being racially inferior and non-Aryan “Untermenschern,”
In the bizarre hierarchy of national socialist racist ideology, the “Aryans” were the superior race, destined to rule the world after the destruction of their racial arch-foe, the Jews. The lesser races, over whom the Germans would rule; such as Poles, Russians, Ukrainians and other Slavonic peoples, would supply “laborers” to support and serve the master race.
Hitler and other Nazi leaders viewed the Jews not as a religious group, but as a poisonous “race,” which “lived off” the other races and weakened them. After Hitler assumed power, Nazi teachers in school classrooms began to apply the “principles” of racial science. They measured skull size and nose length, and recorded the color of their pupils’ hair and eyes to determine whether students belonged to the true – the pure – “Aryan race.”
Essentially, the national socialist regime focused primarily on race. In Mein Kampf, the author mentions the “negrification of the world” on several occasions. Basically, according to the writer of that infamous testament of hatred and evil, if one is not an “Aryan,” then one is a. . . Dare I say this?. . . the “N-word.” Consequently, to say that the Halocaust was not about race is totally absurd. Whoopi Goldberg should have known better.
Whoopi Goldberg’s suspension was a mere slap on the wrist. Her insensitive comments were offensive and an embarrassment to “The View” and to the entire network. Whoopi Goldberg has claimed that she is a staunch advocate for responsibility and accountability. That advocacy has come full circle. Having said that, Whoppi Goldberg should be held responsible and accountable for her outrageous comments concerning the Holocaust.
Whoopi Goldberg has threated to quit the view because of the backlash she has been getting over her outrageous remarks about the Holocaust. She should quit. . . And the sooner the better.
