The Bayonne Farmers’ Market is back in 2022 for its 11th season. The market opened on May 24, from 2 to 7 p.m. and will run every Tuesday at the same time.
The market is located on West 23rd Street between Broadway and DelMonte Drive. It moved there in 2021 from DelMonte Drive in 2020. Prior to that, it was held in Fitzpatrick Park, but since found a new home following the park’s facelift.
The Bayonne Farmers’ Market aims to foster “a sense of community by bringing farmers and local businesses together right in our neighborhood.” The goal is to offer a variety of fresh foods to the community.
The line-up included over 11 vendors, such as: Alstede Farms, Empanada Lady, Doc Pickle, Gourmet Nuts and Dried Fruits, JD Kettlecorn, Sicilian Club Zeppoles, NJ Beer Company, Buon Antipasto, Paolo’s Kitchen, Grandma Emma’s Peach Cobbler, The Squeeze Juice Bar, and Kandles by Kas. More vendors are expecting to be announced in the coming weeks.
Those in attendance are advised to bring their own bags. There are plenty of yummy goods to purchase from the number of vendors lining West 23rd between Broadway and DelMonte.
Earlier in the year, Davis honored Lauren Halecky Dellabella, the founder and manager of the farmers’ market. Since 2012, she has recruited vendors and organized market logistics. Each year, she supports the farmers’ market via local advertising and social media. The Bayonne resident is a culinary consultant and a writer, editor, and blogger who has worked as a test kitchen manager in the food industry.
This year, the market returned to much success. Don’t forget to drop by and get some tasty zeppoles.
