In response to requests from residents in the area, the township brought food trucks to Grand Avenue on Wednesday, July 13.
The Corn Guys and the snow cone truck were at the municipal parking spots at 48th Street and Grand Avenue from 4 to 9 p.m. The event was sponsored by Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the NB C.A.R.E.S.
The Corn Guys sold corn on the cob, corn in a cup, gyro platters, quesadillas, arepas, and much more. The snow cone truck offered a wide variety of unique snow cone flavors.
“We are planning to have Food Trucks every Wednesday evening to bring to the local community (anyone is welcome),” Sacco said. “This week we are proud to feature The Corn Guys and Snow Cone Truck and next week we will have the Guttenberg Trolley!”

Next week on July 20, the Guttenberg Trolley will be there at the same time at 7 p.m. If enough residents come out, this will become an ongoing event, according to the township.
“Had a great turnout out tonight for Food Trucks on Grand,” Sacco said after the event. “We hope you will come out and join us next week!”
