Man shot multiple times near Gorman Field in Bayonne

The 36-year-old from the city was shot in both arms and both legs, police said

A man was shot multiple times in Bayonne on July 17 at approximately 3:12 a.m., according to the Bayonne Police Department.

Officers responded to the area of Gorman Field on 1st Street on a report of a man down, police said.

Upon arrival, Bayonne police officers encountered a 36-year-old Bayonne man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to both arms and both legs.

According to authorities, the man was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.

“This is currently an active and ongoing investigation, therefore we have no further comments at this time,” said Captain Eric Amato of the Bayonne Police Department.
