A wave of heat is headed our way, with temperatures expected to rise to near 100 degrees.

North Bergen has three designated cooling centers available throughout the summer. Township residents who are feeling overheated are invited to come cool off during the hours the centers are operational.

The cooling center locations are at the Uptown library at 8411 Bergenline Avenue; the Downtown library at 2123 Kennedy Boulevard, and the Recreation Center at 6300 Meadowview Avenue.

For hours of availability and more information, contact the North Bergen Free Public Library at 201-869-4715 or go to nbpl.org, or the Recreation Center at 201-861-9601 or go to northbergen.org/Departments/parks-and-recreation.
