Bayonne to hold ‘Vax to School’ events ahead of September

Get vaccinated on August 23 and August 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Bayonne school district is promoting student vaccinations against COVID-19 ahead of the upcoming 2022 to 2023 school year starting in September.

Known as “Vax to School,” the events in Bayonne is being sponsored by the Hudson Regional Health Commission, the County of Hudson, and the City of Bayonne.

The events aim to help start a safe and healthy school year by encouraging students to get free COVID-19 vaccines or boosters.

The two events will take place on August 23 and August 30 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The vaccines will be offered at the Korpi Ice Rink at Bayonne High School at 669 Avenue A.

All vaccines and boosters are available. Those eligible include anyone six months and older.

Walk-ins are welcome. Those seeking the vaccine can also preregister online.
