Mayor Gabriel Rodriguez, Commissioner Yoleisy Yanez, and the West New York Board of Commissioners invite residents to their “Third Annual Dog Event.”
The competition will take place on Saturday, September 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Donnelly Park at 60th Street and Boulevard East.
Residents are invited to bring their dog and “enjoy a Saturday full of surprises.”
All dogs must be on a leash and accompanied by an adult. Residents are asked to be on time to register their dogs for the competition.
Participants are advised to “be a good neighbor” and clean up after their dog.
The event began in June of 2021, with a second iteration in September of 2021, and the third iteration this September.
Following this event, on September 20, there ill be free rabies vaccinations from the town. For more information, go to westnewyork.org.
According to West New York, the town continues to support dogs through the local dog park and dog waste stations. There are also dog toys available at AM veterinarians offices.
