The 2022 Bergen Point Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 22, the City of Bayonne Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) and the Bergen Point merchants have announced.

This year’s festival will run from 12 to 6 p.m. The event will include free live musical entertainment, dancing, free inflatables, a game trailer, balloon sculpture, facepainting, great food, and wonderful shopping opportunities by Bergen Point merchants and specialty vendors.

This annual festival of family fun takes place in the Bergen Point area located from 5th Street to Cottage Street on Broadway. The event is close to the Bayonne Bridge, making it convenient for visitors from Staten Island.

Residents of Staten Island are invited to walk or ride their bikes over the Bayonne Bridge to the festival. The event also provides new Bayonne residents the opportunity to experience fun times in the city and a chance to get to know local merchants.

There will also be a dog costume contest at the festival. Registration for the contest starts at 11:15 a.m. at the Cottage Street stage.

The contest will take place at 12 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring their dogs in their favorite costume.

Prizes, consisting of three trophies, will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners. The sponsors of the dog costume contest are local animal clinics and hospitals.
