The program will meet every Tuesday, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Bayonne Museum beginning on December 6. The program will be led by Molly M. Merendino.

The program is open to Bayonne residents only, ages 10 and older. There is no cost to participate.

The program consists of numerous four-week sessions of 20 students. After beginning in December, the program will run through June.

Papermill Playhouse has also reserved 80 tickets for special needs-friendly performances at Papermill Playhouse. The Division of Recreation will provide transportation to each show.

There will be a performance of “The Lightning Thief” on Sunday, December 11, at 10 a.m. Up next is “The Sound of Music” on Thursday, December 30, at 1:30 p.m. Following that is “Disney’s Hercules” on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. Lastly is “The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System” on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 10 a.m.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Papermill Playhouse for this incredible program,” stated Pete Amadeo, Superintendent of Recreation. “We are very grateful and fortunate for this new recreational opportunity! We have seen our participants excel on the playing field, in the gyms, and now we will take the stage by storm!”
