Please join us in the Gallery on May 30 at 7:00PM at the Bayonne Public Library to help launch Bayonne Reads: One Book, One Community, a city-wide celebration of literacy and community. Courtesy of BCB, a limited number of free copies of the book, The Things They Carried, will be available. Considered to be one of the best works of fiction ever written about war, The Things They Carried is a collection of stories about the Vietnam War written by Tim O’Brien, himself a Vietnam Veteran.
Vietnam Veteran, Tony Goodson, is the featured guest speaker on May 30. Objects from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Museum in Holmdel will also be on display in the Library.
