As modern city-dwellers, many of us suffer from lack of mobility in the lower back or the neck and shoulders. Too much time is spent being sedentary centered around the computer for work and the TV for entertainment.
The spine is the central axis in which physical function is rooted. Maintaining healthy spinal mobility is vital for overall good health. Drills in functional range movement coupled with yoga asanas are a great way to train the body for improved range and motion.
We will spend two hours practicing yoga asanas systematically increasing mobility along the spine, and in turn creating flexibility with those complementary muscle groups.
