New York Mets’ Left Fielder Jeff McNeil Honors Legend Tom Seaver, Raises Awareness for Dementia at RPM Raceway Fundraiser on August 28
The Northeast’s Leading All-Electric Indoor Karting and Entertainment Destination in Jersey City Partners with Alzheimer’s New Jersey and the New York Mets to Raise Awareness for Brain Health by Symbolically Completing 41 Laps for Hall-of-Famer Tom Seaver at Upcoming Fundraiser

WHAT: In partnership with Alzheimer’s New Jersey® and the New York Mets, RPM Raceway, America’s ultimate all-electric indoor karting and entertainment destination, will be raising funds and awareness for dementia and brain health by honoring Tom Seaver, the New York Mets Hall-of-Famer who was recently diagnosed with dementia.

On Wednesday, August 28, current New York Mets player, Jeff McNeil, will drive the RPM Raceway track to help honor Tom Seaver. McNeil, who will be joined by RPM Raceway representatives and a lucky fan selected upon arrival to the event, will complete 41 laps around RPM’s quarter-mile track, symbolic of the number Seaver wore throughout his legendary career. RPM Raceway’s doors will open early at 10:30 AM on this day, allowing for both media and fans to witness the honorary laps and show their dedication to the cause. Following the laps, fans are invited to stick around for a meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with McNeil until 12:15 PM. Further, proceeds from all races throughout the day at RPM Raceway of Jersey City will be donated to Alzheimer’s New Jersey, the independent, Garden State non-profit providing continuous support for individuals and families battling Alzheimer’s and other dementias, to help raise funds and awareness ahead of the annual “Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s®” at Liberty State Park taking place on Saturday, October 5. Those who cannot attend the fundraiser but are interested in making a difference can register for the walk or donate at www. alznj.org

RPM Raceway also invites New York Mets fans to come watch their favorite team at RPM Raceway during the 7:10 PM game that same night against the Chicago Cubs and continue to race, play arcade games or billiards and enjoy delicious snacks at the Clutch Snack Bar.

WHY: RPM Raceway, America’s ultimate all-electric indoor karting and entertainment destination, recently announced an exciting new three-year partnership with the New York Mets, one of the country’s most iconic and beloved sports teams. As an official partner of the New York Mets, RPM Raceway will help maximize the fun and excitement of baseball season and beyond for Mets fans of all ages.

Giving back to community is an important value that RPM Raceway was built around and this partnership with Alzheimer’s New Jersey is just one of the many ways RPM Raceway is giving back through its CAReS (Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Recovery and thoSe in need) initiative. RPM Raceway owners Karen and Eyal Farage have both experienced the hardship of an illness without a cure. Both of their mothers were afflicted with Alzheimer’s Disease. As a result of this event, in alignment with their CAReS initiative, RPM Raceway is hoping to spread the word on the importance of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s and other dementias and supporting local families impacted by the disease.
