Suicide results in more deaths than war, homicide and natural disasters combined. Over 42,000 people commit suicide in the U.S. every year.  It the second leading cause of death in those ages 10 to 24.   It is difficult to find anyone whose life has not been affected the suicide of a loved one.  Grief, confusion and guilt often plague those left behind.

At this workshop the audience will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of psychiatrists and suicide loss survivors. Goals of the workshop include increasing awareness of the extent of the problem in our community, warning signs and risk factors, dispelling myths about suicide and becoming familiar with resources available for survivors and those left behind.
