Funeral services took place April 27 for William Joseph Doheny, 99, of Red Bank. He passed away April 24 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Manhattan and was raised in West New York. In 1975, he settled in Middletown and was currently residing in Red Bank. William was a decorated fireman for 27 years for the West NY Fire Department. He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during WWII. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Mary (Comer) Doheny, his first wife, Estelle, his second wife, Madeline, his brothers, Thomas, Michael and John, his sisters, Catherine and Mae and his sons, Frederick Nitting and John Massaro. William is survived by his children, Patricia Geissler and her husband Wayne of Hazlet, Henrietta Marotta of Port Monmouth, Sharon Miller of Red Bank, and William J. Doheny III and his wife Sandra of Lakewood, along with 6 granddaughters, 5 grandsons and 12 special great grandchildren. Services arranged by Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hazlet.
