A memorial service was held Jan. 23 for Regina A. Gannon, 56, of Jersey City. She passed away Jan. 16, at home. Born in Jersey City, Regina resided there her entire life. Regina was predeceased by her parents, Joseph E. Gannon, in 2004, and Marion M. Gannon, in 2012 and a brother, John Gannon. Regina is survived by her children, Gina Lentz-Cabrera and Thomas C. Lentz; her grandchildren, Joshua Davila and Gabriella Carvache; her brothers and sisters; Joseph E. Gannon, Jr., of Jersey City, Robert F. Gannon and his wife Mary of Old Bridge, Jane M. Gannon of Brooklyn, N.Y, Thomas P. Gannon of Jersey City and Ellyn Gannon, also of Jersey City; as well as her nieces and nephews, James, Toni, Danielle, Erin, Nicole and Kaitlin. Regina was a Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend. She was an alumnus of Holy Family Academy Class of ‘75. She received an associate’s degree in Psychology and had worked toward her Bachelors in the same field which led her to work at YCS for Troubled Youth as a counselor. She was a talented artist in charcoal drawing and oil painting. She was a gourmet cook, a lover of animals and a Dallas Cowboys fan. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
