Thanksgiving editorial and advertising deadlines
The Reporter offices will be closed this Thursday, Nov. 26, in observance of Thanksgiving. As a result, some of our deadlines have changed.
Our classified advertising deadline for the Sunday, Nov. 29 newspapers is this Tuesday, Nov. 24 at noon.
Our display ad deadline for the Sunday North Bergen, Weehawken, Secaucus, Union City, and West New York newspapers is also 12 noon on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
The display ad deadline for the Sunday Hoboken and Jersey City newspapers is 12 noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
The editorial deadline for letters to the editor and similar items is 12 noon on Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Weehawken Library Board meeting
A special meeting of the Trustees of the Weehawken Library Board is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 30 at 7: 30 p.m. at the Weehawken Free Public Library at 49 Hauxhurst Ave. The library asks that those that plan to attend to please call the library to verify attendance. Police ask for toy drive donations
The Weehawken PBA is asking for donations for their annual toy drive to benefit the Cops-for-Tots program which gives the toys to needy groups in the area. The public is asked to donate a new unwrapped toy for either a boy or a girl, ages 0 to 15 years, by bringing it to one of the two Weehawken police stations, at 400 Park Ave. or at 4518 Park Ave. Another drop off location is the Weehawken Volunteer First Aid Squad at 201 Highwood Ave.

Weehawken 150th Anniversary Gala
The public is invited to a major event: the Weehawken Anniversary Gala, which will be held Friday, Dec. 4 at the Venetian in Garfield, N.J. Tickets are now on sale.
The elegant evening will begin with cocktails at 7:30 p.m. and a dinner to follow. Black tie is optional. Tickets are $150, which entitles the holder to participate in a drawing of “exceptional” gifts.

Rockettes make appearance
The Radio City Rockettes made an appearance at the NY Waterway Port Imperial Station in Weehawken on Thursday, Nov. 12, where Rockettes Julia Tomaino and Melissa Sybil greeted Waterway passengers from 7 to 9 a.m. The purpose of the appearance was to promote the Radio City Christmas Spectacular show in NYC and to announce a NY Waterway Ferry discount to those who purchase tickets for the show.
