Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the North Bergen Commissioners invite all residents to join them for the township’s annual Veterans Day ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11 in the Recreation Center, 6300 Meadowview Ave.
Guttenberg will host their annual Veterans Day ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11 in Monument Park, at Boulevard East and 70th Street.
Everyone is invited to attend this commemorative event, at which the park and monument will be rededicated following recent renovations.
The monument has been refurbished to include the names of additional fallen heroes who were killed in action since the monument was dedicated 72 years ago, on Memorial Day 1946.
A new section honoring victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attack is among the additions.
