Since 1990, the Fund for a Better Waterfront (FBW), a nonprofit advocacy organization, has fought for a continuous, public waterfront park.

On Thursday, Nov. 14 Hoboken’s Fund for a Better Waterfront, a nonprofit advocating for public waterfront open space, will host its annual fundraising party.

This year it will take place at the Elks Club at 1005 Washington St. in Hoboken from 7 to 9 p.m.

Attendees will have access to an open bar of beer, wine, and soda and listen to music performed by the Bryan Beninghove Trio.

The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, bucket raffle gifts, and prizes awarded for FBW’s First Annual Hoboken Waterfront Trivia Contest.

FBW will also present the 2019 Riparian Award to the Hudson River Fishermen’s Association, the group that helped start the “riverkeeper” movement, and has been fighting to protect the Hudson River for more than 50 years.
